We Create Our Experiential Reality

You are the creator of your reality

You are the creator of your inner and outer World

You create your reality, one thought, one feeling, one conceptualized emotion at a time.

This may seem, outrageous, extreme, laughable,  even offensive.  We are so programmed to easily throw the blame to outward circumstances, to events that we think are out of our control, to people that piss us off, its everyone else’s fault and everything other than us that is to blame, we play the blaming game every time shit happens.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you have created everything and will continue to create unconscious melodrama, until you “WAKE THE F….K UP” and start consciously creating your World and get results that can only come from a resinating on a higher frequency, a frequency that is much higher than the one you are currently residing on. Then, and only then can you cease to live as a victim of circumstances, and begin to live as the creator of your world.

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.”

Buddha

So, lets get a little clarity on this creating our reality thingy. Our thoughts feelings and emotions, and last but not least our beliefs (thats a biggy) create our experiential reality, which in lay-mans terms means, the world we live in. Your thoughts about your reality, create your experience of that reality.

So which came first  (like the chicken or the egg) the feeling or the thought, or could it possibly be the underlying beliefs (formed in childhood years) which are mostly unconscious beliefs, that then give rise to our thoughts and feelings, yep, I go for the latter!!

Its all good, really. Because what this means is that if we change our internal reality, this will then change our external reality. Remember you are on a path, you have choices when you come to a split in the path, which path do you  choose?  I trust you will choose the path that leads you to an improved reality, a higher frequency, you will consciously be making a better choice. Which will not be the path of least resistance, because change aint easy honey, sorry.

“Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can’t, you are probably right.”

Henry Ford

The process of Rewiring Your Brain

Lets use an example to better understand what all this is about.

You are sitting in traffic, you are indicating to go into the outer lane, you are been completely ignored, you are seemingly invisible to the other drivers. Your probable hardwired reaction is to jump to the anger response, possible muttering things like “Frigging A hole” or maybe even throwing a finger or two, you continue with the verbal abuse to the other drivers that cant hear you, but judging by your angry face and mannerisms have figured your not a happy camper sitting in your little Honda, which will  then probably trigger a hardwired response from them (but thats a different story) lets stick with you for now.  So you are now well into the negative learned response, which over the years has become so hard wired in your brain that you cant even imagine responding in any other way. why should you its the other drivers that are to blame for this congested traffic problem!!  But, what if I tell you there is another way, there is a more positive way that you could deal with this situation, that in turn, will create a more favorable outcome.

So, if instead of feeling angry, you were to catch yourself falling into that triggered response of anger and decide to react in a different way!!  what if you were to turn your focus towards compassion for the other gridlocked drivers, gratitude for having woken up that morning, grateful for the blessing of being able to experience this wonderful thing we call life, gratitude for the job you have, gratitude because your going home to spend time with your family, whatever you can think of that brings a feeling of gratitude or happiness, focus on the bright side instead of the dark side. By doing this and looking on the brighter side of life in this type of situation or any other situation like this in your life, you are planting seeds, that over time will cultivate a new neural pathway, one that leads to a more positive outlook on life. over time this new response would be reinforced until eventually you create a new more positive habitual behavioral response, which will have a domino effect on all areas of your life, not just gridlocked traffic.

You beginning to see the picture!!

The process of rewiring your brain, is just that – a process. Breaking habits and changing beliefs takes time. it has taken you a lifetime to create beliefs and hardwire them into the neural pathways of your brain. You have being stuck in these triggered responses for many years,  you have created a habit, it will take time and conscious effort for you to re-wire the neural transmitters in your brain and form new patterns, a new habitual response that is a more positive reaction to the situation.

Above all, be patient with yourself.

Every time you catch yourself reacting to a situation, any situation, is an opportunity for you to come from a controlled response, rather than an habitual response.  This, my dear friend, is when you are controlling your brain and your brain is no longer controlling you. This is when your inner world begins to change, which will then begin to change your outer conceptualized world.
