The Healing Benefits of Grounding/Earthing the Human Body

Think of Mother Earth as a gigantic battery, that contains a natural, subtle electrical charge. Then consider us humans as a bioelectrical being which is connected to this gigantic battery. Our bodies operate electrically, all of our cells transmit frequencies that run all our organs and glands, immune system, muscles and nervous system. Lets look at the term “connection” as that is the key to our power source from Mother Earth.

Our ancestors would have a constant interaction with Mother Earth. The order of the day was hunting and gathering, playing, relaxing, nearly everything they did required a barefoot connection. Fast forward to modern day and you begin to understand how we have all but lost our connection, we simply do not live the same lifestyle.

Walking on Terra Firma with bare feet, gives us that connection that recharges our batteries, so to speak, and allows us to absorb the earths energy. For many decades, we humans have been disconnecting ourselves from the benefits that grounding gives us, mainly through the wearing of rubber and plastic soled shoes which act as a barrier and insulation from electrical contact with Mother Earth. Leather soled shoes act as a conductor but are rarely used anymore. Also modern culture means we no longer sleep on the ground, but instead on an elevated platform we call a bed, which completely disconnects us from the Earth. We also find more and more high rises, where we are working and living, far, far away from the ground.

All of the above equates to that fact that we have all become disconnected, ungrounded, no longer in touch with Mother Earth. Which may be a seriously overlooked cause of human pain and and discomfort, as well as the steeply rising increase of chronic sickness and disease worldwide.

When we are electrically reconnected to the Earth or when we are grounded it has been scientifically proven that we feel better, we are healthier and the body becomes protected

How to Reconnect to Mother Earth

One of the best ways to connect/ground to the Earth is to walk Barefoot on Terra Firma. This practice is timeless. Our ancestors going back many hundreds of years practiced this way of grounding without even knowing, just by the act of not wearing shoes that blocked their connection. Then the use of leather shoes came into effect which was a great way to ground as leather is a conductor allowing the energy to rise up into the body as a whole. Then came the age of shoes made from plastic which is not a conductor and keeps us separated from the Earth.

The great news is we can reconnect to Mother Earth through the practice of walking barefoot just like our ancestors did, or sitting on the soil, grass, sand or concrete, which are all conductors and allows the body to draw the energy from Mother Earth.

Wood, asphalt, and Vinyl are not conductors and will block your connection to the ground

So WHY is walking barefoot so damn good for you

The surface of Mother Earth possesses a limitless and continuously renewed supply of free or mobile electrons, which in lay mans terms equates to she is negatively charged, so when you are walking barefoot (on a conductive surface) your body is connecting to a negatively charged supply of energy. The Earth has a far greater negative charge than your body does so you end up absorbing all those good electrons from her, for FREE

Lets go a little deeper

The basic premise of physics is that all humans, animals, plants and inanimate objects are electrical beings living in an electrical world. Everything is made of atoms so therefore has a net charge that’s either positive, negative, or neutral. every single rearrangement of molecules that happens involves an electrical charge, attraction or repulsion. Atoms strong attraction to each other through energetic bonds form a solid mass, without this everything around you would simply dissipate into particles.

Im saying all this so you can begin to clearly see how imperative it is for us to remain connected to Mother Earth.

When your body’s charge is off, then there will be chemical reactions within the body that should not happen, and the equal and opposite, there will be chemical reactions that fail to happen when they should, so your bodies charge gets completely messed up. The simple act of walking on Mother Earth barefoot or connecting using various Earthing devises, allows our body to discharge built-up static electricity directly into the Earth.

Throughout your day you are building up a positive charge in the body. If you are not making a direct connection with the ground to discharge that build up, then you will not be getting back to neutral. over time this build up or charge will begin to affect the body in a negative way, causing related health issues.

So, no more excuses, take your shoes off and go and stand on Terra Firma, Happy Grounding 🙂
